Founder & Chief Inspiration Officer, Movement BE
Nate Howard is a visionary leader, master storyteller, and transformational community builder. As the Founder and Chief Inspiration Officer of Movement BE, he is on a mission to help youth “tell your story before they do.” What began as a spoken word movement has evolved—under Nate’s leadership—into a nationally recognized platform for creative expression, education, and social impact.
Nate has inspired thousands through keynote speeches, national media appearances, and grassroots programming that meets youth where they are. His dynamic leadership has shaped Movement BE into a powerful ecosystem—launching after-school and summer programs, producing youth-led digital content, and cultivating safe, creative spaces that empower young people to find their voice and build their future.
From classrooms to boardrooms, Nate bridges generational gaps and mobilizes communities through authenticity, purpose, and vision. His work continues to break cycles and build legacies—proving that when youth are given a platform to BE, they can change the world.

Music Director, Movement BE
Mike is the creative heartbeat of Movement BE’s music program—an inspiring mentor, producer, and educator who uses the power of music to uplift youth voices. Known for his authenticity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to excellence, Mike has earned the admiration of students, parents, and the entire Movement BE community.
Through his leadership, Mike has produced two original albums featuring Movement BE youth, guiding students as they transform their personal stories into powerful, original music. His work doesn’t stop in the studio—he’s helped young artists take the stage at multiple live showcases, instilling confidence and empowering them to share their voices with the world.
Mike’s passion for youth empowerment through music continues to shape lives, cultivate creativity, and build a legacy of inspiration at Movement BE.
Movement BE Housing Fellow | Mechanical Engineering Graduate | Lavin Entrepreneur
Arieal Swindell is a recent graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Movement BE Housing Fellow passionate about innovation, leadership, and community advancement. Her academic journey included impactful projects such as evaluating spinal implants through finite element analysis and designing accessory gearboxes, demonstrating her strong foundation in technical problem-solving and applied engineering.
In addition to her engineering expertise, Arieal has been a dynamic leader on campus—serving as a Resident Advisor and Hillel Program Associate—where she fostered inclusive communities and resolved peer conflicts with empathy and integrity. As a WTS 2023 Scholarship recipient and a proud Lavin Entrepreneur, Arieal continues to grow as a professional and changemaker.
Through her role as a Housing Fellow, Arieal is committed to supporting youth and expanding access to opportunity. She brings a unique blend of technical skill and social consciousness to Movement BE’s mission of building empowering spaces for the next generation.
